SITE FUNCTIONS
Nods
A "Nod" is similar to what is sometimes known on other social sites as a "virtual kiss" or a "wink". It is a way of letting another member know you have seen their profile and would be interested in getting to know them a little better. If you recieve a "nod" it is always polite to at least return the nod and if you are interested in chatting to them you could even send them a message.
Guestbook
Your Guestbook controls are in your "MY PROFILE" page. Here you can enable or disable the guestbook and set who can read or write to your guestbook. You can choose to let all registered members, just members in your "friends" list or no-one post to your guestbook.
It is a way of letting members write a little about you, from their point of view. Friends can leave little message to you or if you've met someone and been on a date or ride-out with them they can then leave some feedback about you on your profile.
Instant Messenger
If you'd like to chat to other members using our webcam enabled flash messenger please ensure that you disable any pop-up blockers you may have running (XP comes preinstalled with one) before signing into Motorcycle-Junction. If a member tries to contact you via our messenger and the connection fails you will be notified by email.
My webcam and/or microphone doesn't work, what is wrong?
Before doing anything, make sure that your webcam and/or microphone are connected to your computer. Once they are connected, Macromedia Flash will automatically detect any cameras and audio sources for the chat.
If you have not seen the privacy screen from Flash pop-up when you start the chat click on the 'settings' button located in the 'Me' window, then navigate to the 'Privacy' tab. Make sure that you "allow userplane.com to access your camera and microphone."
Once you have set access permissions to Macromedia Flash Player, while still in the Settings window, navigate to the camera and microphone tabs and make sure that the computer is detecting your camera and microphone. Select the camera/microphone you are using and click on 'close'. The audio and video should now be set up.

Can I hide myself in who's online or stop members from seeing that I've viewed their profile?
No, we don't like lurkers on Motorcycle Junction. We encourage all members to openly interact with other members, it's much more fun!..
How do I make phone calls?
Motorcycle Junction "Gold & Equivalent" members can make, anonymous phone calls to other members. You can invite one or more members to join your party line by first, sending the member an "Instant Message" then pressing the "phone" icon in your messenger. This will give you an anonymous phone number to call. Please add 001 to the begining of the number The member(s) you invite to chat will also call this number and be connected to your phone line. You can invite as many members as you wish and create a "party line" for as long as you like, totally anonymous!
Match percentages
Match percentages are calculated on your "Looking For" preferences, contained in your profile settings.
Can I delete from my Outbox
No, when a message is sent by a member only 1 copy of that message is created, which is visable in both the senders out box and the recipients inbox.
If you were able to delete messages from your outbox they would also be deleted from the recipents inbox.
Instead, expired messages are automatically removed from outboxes by the system.
